Dr. Gedeon M. Mudacumura

Founder of FaithReads • Christian Author • Scholar • Ministry Leader

FaithReads began with a simple conviction God placed on my heart: that a small, Spirit-led word can illuminate the path for a searching soul. Through years of reading, writing, teaching, and serving, I grew increasingly aware of how Christian literature opens hearts to Christ. This calling became the seed that grew into FaithReads — a ministry devoted to elevating Christ-centered books and guiding readers to the love and truth of Jesus.

A Calling Rooted in Scripture, Scholarship, and Ministry

Dr. Gedeon M. Mudacumura is a Christian author, scholar, and ministry leader whose writing and teaching unite biblical conviction, academic rigor, and a global heart for the gospel. His groundbreaking publication, God’s Handprint on Africa, affirms the biblical and historical truth that all humanity shares a dignified, God-ordained origin—an insight that restores identity, strengthens faith, and invites readers to see themselves within God’s redemptive story.

This message of dignity, hope, and divine purpose directly shaped the vision that would become FaithReads. Through the book’s profound impact, Dr. Mudacumura sensed a calling to create a ministry where Spirit-led literature could continue planting seeds of faith and illuminating Christ’s love across generations and cultures.

As Founder of FaithReads, he established an intergenerational, Christ-centered community where seasoned Christian professionals mentor emerging interns and students in the transformative ministry of book-review evangelism. This unique model empowers believers to write short, grace-filled reviews that serve as small lights pointing seekers to the greater Light of Jesus Christ.

A Groundbreaking Publication That Inspired a Movement

Dr. Mudacumura’s acclaimed book, God’s Handprint on Africa, marks a significant contribution to Christian scholarship and biblical history. The publication affirms that humanity’s earliest story began on African soil—restoring dignity, identity, and divine purpose to all people. Its biblical and historical insights have touched readers across generations and continents.

This powerful publication paved the way for what would eventually become FaithReads. Through the book’s revealing exploration of Africa’s God-ordained role in Scripture, Dr. Mudacumura highlighted how Christ-centered literature can be a vessel of hope, restoration, and calling. FaithReads was built on this truth: that Spirit-led books can open hearts, strengthen faith, and prepare lives for Christ’s soon return.

A Message From the Founder

From the very beginning, FaithReads was born out of prayer, burden, and a clear conviction that Christ still calls His people to “let their light so shine” in a world searching for hope. I sensed the Lord impressing upon my heart that even a small, Spirit-led word—offered with sincerity and guided by Scripture—can help someone take a step closer to Jesus. That simple truth has shaped everything FaithReads stands for.

As I reflected on my journey as a reader, a writer, and a servant of the gospel, I realized that Christian literature has always been one of God’s most powerful tools for inspiring faith and transforming lives. Yet I also felt a deep need for a ministry that would not only elevate Christ-centered books but also train the next generation to engage them with spiritual insight, biblical depth, and evangelistic purpose. FaithReads is the answer to that prayer.
This ministry is intentionally intergenerational. We honor the wisdom of seasoned Christian professionals while entrusting emerging interns and young adults with meaningful opportunities to grow, write, reflect, and serve. This “passing of the baton” is not simply a strategy—it's a calling. Scripture teaches us to disciple those who will disciple others (2 Tim. 2:2), and FaithReads is committed to living out that mandate through mentorship and Spirit-led learning.

Our signature “ book-review evangelism ” model flows directly from this mission. A review may be only five lines long, but when written under the influence of the Holy Spirit, it becomes a small light pointing seekers to the greater Light—Jesus Christ. The books we recommend, the reviews we share, and the community we cultivate all aim toward one purpose: preparing hearts for Christ’s soon return.
